Surrounded by the Cleveland SSS Community members, postulant Matthew Vlastelica was welcomed into the province’s Novitiate on August 1, 2024, at Evening Prayer in the chapel of Saint Paschal Baylon Church in Highland Heights, Ohio. Father John Thomas Lane SSS, provincial superior, used the new ritual of the Congregation, “Evening Prayer with the Rite of Initiation into the Religious Life – Novitiate.” Matthew will begin his novitiate program in Houston, Texas (Corpus Christi Parish Community) around August 15. His novice director will be Father Gnanasekar Paulraj SSS, the parish pastor.
