Center for Eucharistic Evangelizing
Welcome to new CoDirectors of CEE
Very Reverend John Thomas Lane SSS, Provincial Superior of the Province of Saint Ann for the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (SSS), announced a historic decision with the USA Provincial Council: the appointment of two women to serve as the co-directors of the Center for Eucharistic Evangelizing, a mission of the SSS. Mary Muehle and Mona Grigsby-Suarez.
Welcome to the Center for Eucharistic Evangelizing
The Center for Eucharistic Evangelizing (CEE) is a ministry of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. The center shares the mission of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, namely, to “respond to the hungers of the human family with the riches of God’s love manifested in the Eucharist” (Rule of Life 3). In doing this, we follow in the footsteps of Saint Peter Julian Eymard, the Apostle of the Eucharist. Rule of Life 33 of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament says: “Father Eymard’s ability to translate his eucharistic grace into very diverse ministries stimulates us to be creative in our mission.”
Since 1992, the CEE has had as its focus sharing the riches of God’s love manifested in the Eucharist. As such, it develops and promotes spiritually enriching programs, resources, and experiences that assist Catholics in deepening their understanding and appreciation of the fullness of the mystery of the Eucharist.

Mission
Inspired by the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and the writings of Popes Paul VI and John Paul II, the CEE has focused its mission on the idea of Eucharistic Evangelizing, that is sharing the good news of God’s love in the Eucharist and putting the Eucharist at the center of our life and faith as followers of Jesus Christ.
The Center for Eucharistic Evangelizing seeks to answer the spiritual yearnings of the people of our day, as Father Eymard did in his own time, through developing catechetical programs that foster knowledge and love of the Eucharist and the search for the true meaning and power of the eucharistic mystery.
Number 36 of the Rule of Life of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament expresses it this way:
Like the mustard seed which never ceases to grow, the Church progresses in her understanding of the realities and words that have been given to her. Likewise, we ourselves ought to deepen our understanding of the Eucharist and promote a fruitful celebration of this mystery with whatever demands it makes on us.
Eucharistic evangelizing, then, is both about helping others (and ourselves) find a place at the table of the Lord . . . and then moving from the eucharistic table in mission to the world around us.
