Daily Eucharistic Reflections

“I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved…” – John 10:9

In this Gospel, Jesus presents Himself as both Shepherd and Gate, our protector, our guide, and our path to life. In a world of many voices, He is the only one who truly leads us to peace, purpose, and salvation.

Saint Peter Julian Eymard famously stated, “The Eucharist is the supreme proof of the love of Jesus. After this, there is nothing more but Heaven itself.” This reflects his deep conviction that the Eucharist is not only a meal, it is Christ Himself, offered as nourishment and presence.

For Eymard, the Eucharist was the gate to union with Christ. Through it, Jesus calls us into relationship, to rest in him and be transformed. As the Good Shepherd, He doesn’t just call us from danger; He invites us to live fully in His love.

Once, during a stressful time, I sat in Adoration, simply asking, “Lord, what do I do?” No loud answer came, just a deep peace that whispered, “Stay with me.” That was enough. His presence was the answer.

In every Mass, Jesus invites us to walk through the gate again, hear his voice, follow, and be nourished.

Let us stay close to the Eucharist, where the Shepherd feeds us with His very self—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity and calls us home.

Let Us Pray:
Jesus, Good Shepherd, help us to recognize Your voice and stay near to You in the Eucharist. Through Saint Peter Julian Eymard, may we grow in love for Your Real Presence. Amen.
