Daily Eucharistic Reflections

November 15, 2025

In a world where hustle and bustle are the norm, praying without ceasing can be a struggle for some, but is it really? Praying comes in all shapes and sizes. For some, it comes from reading prayer books, saying prayers we recited as children, or saying the rosary on the way to work.

What is true prayer? Quiet time with Him. Worship. True prayer is a conversation with God and keeping God in the forefront of our thoughts and actions.

God does want us in church. He does want us sitting quietly with Him. He also wants us to take care of our daily chores, such as going to work, washing the dishes, and doing the laundry.

When we find ourselves with babies underfoot, struggling to get food on the table, helping a child with homework, helping a co-worker – is this not prayer in another form?

Doing for others, putting others before ourselves, and alleviating the struggles of others, all of that is also prayer.

Never forget God sent his Son to save us by reminding us of who we are. Jesus’ teachings from long ago are still relevant today.

If someone is hungry, God looks for His people to feed the hungry. That is where we find eucharist in the action of easing another’s pain or discomfort – not focusing on why they are hungry, or what excuses they could make for themselves. This is where we truly put Jesus’ teachings into practice. Our actions are also a form of prayer.

Praying without ceasing means keeping Jesus in constant thought, and living our lives always asking, “What would Jesus do?”

Let Us Pray:

Lord, help us to keep your presence. Guide our every thought, word, and action today. Help us to live the teachings of your Son.
