Daily Eucharistic Reflections

May 19, 2026

One of the things we don’t dwell on is that there’s 100% mortality rate associated with birth.  If we don’t die…we’ll never get to our Creator, we’ll never look on the Face of Jesus.  I prefer to think we should do our very best to share the gift of joy, knowing that we will be with Jesus again and that we share that gift every time we receive communion.  What could be better!

This encourages us to “live the life” that Jesus told us about, to know that he has prepared a place for us, that He has died for us, and that He will be there to welcome us home.  When we are at Mass, when we are in adoration before the Eucharist, when we are comforting people that need to be comforted, we are prodded by the Holy Spirit to be the gift of joy that not only came at the first Pentecost in Jerusalem but comes to us daily to be shared with others.

Yes, our responsibilities change when we exercise our baptismal gifts.  Yes, we can offer people comfort and encourage their ability to receive it.  We all encounter so many opportunities as we walk the face of the earth to celebrate our faith.

Let us pray:

Jesus, thank you for your promise that we will join you in heaven.  Thank you for the encouragement on the path you walk with us.  Encourage us to share your love with the people we meet today.  Amen.
