Daily Eucharistic Reflections

When you have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, you will never be the same!

Today’s Gospel is filled with the compassion, love, and healing mercy of Jesus Christ. The official’s daughter and the woman suffering hemorrhages for 12 years both petition Jesus with great faith.

In the midst of a crowd, Jesus delivers healing exactly as requested! The woman touches the cloak, and she is healed. Jesus touches the official’s daughter by the hand, and she rises from the dead. I am sure that every single person who witnessed these miracles was changed forever- to be more like Christ.

The Most Holy Eucharist contains all of this healing power, grace, and mercy!! Being in his very Presence is life-altering.

Thirty days ago, Eucharistic Jesus walked through the streets of our city during the Archdiocesan Feast of Corpus Christi Procession, with a police escort, an honor guard of Knights of Columbus, trumpet blasts, prayers, and songs of joy, and a path of rose petals amid thousands. The joy and peace of Christ were palpable. It was a slice of heaven as people from all walks of life came together to adore the King of the Universe with great joy.

Every year, we witness beautiful testimonies of those who unexpectedly encounter the risen and glorious Jesus Christ in the center of the crowd on this Feast Day of the Body and Blood of Christ. It is overwhelming- and just like the original disciples, they want to run and tell everyone about their life-altering encounter with the Lamb of God that remains in a humble piece of Bread.

He remains until the end of time to embrace, heal, and restore every lost sheep. With faith, seek Him in the Blessed Sacrament and let him change you into himself. You will not be the same!!

Let us Pray:

Dearest Jesus, please empty me of everything that is not of you, fill me with all of you, and use me to draw all souls to you for your greater glory. Amen.
