360 Years of Eucharistic Witness and Service Celebrated in New York

Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste, the mother church of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament since 1900, celebrated from May 28 to June 1, 2025, the anniversaries of three of our Blessed Sacrament religious and three sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame de Montréal. For Father John Kamas, SSS, (Pastor & Provincial Treasurer), we began on Wednesday, remembering his 50 years of ordained priesthood ministry…

On Sunday, June 1, at the 11:00 AM parish Mass, we continued to recognize the other five members from the parish’s life who were celebrating anniversaries:

• Sister Alla Boyle -60 years of service to the church as a religious of the Congregation de Notre Dame;
• Sister Joan Curtis -60 years of service to the church as a religious of the Congregation de Notre Dame;
• Brother Thomas Mella -60 years of service to the church as a religious of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament;
• Brother Michael O’Leary – 60 years of service to the church as a religious of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament;
• Sister Barbara Costello, who celebrates 70 years of service to the church as a religious of the Congregation de Notre Dame.
